Feeding?

How much should you feed?          Many people question how much they should feed, the base should be 2-3% of your pets adult weight. However if your pet more active or less active you should feed as to what you feel should be a good amount for them.  No pet is the same! If youre feeding a younger dog you should feed your dog

5-7% of their current weight.

Switching your pet over

Dogs: We recommend switching cold turkey, if your pet refuses their food at first, pick it up put it in the fridge and try again in a little while! Soon enough they will be chowing down! once your pet has been eating a protein for a couple weeks you can switch over to a new one and start adding in lots of goodies!

Cats: cats should be slowly transitioned as they are a bit more sensitive, integrate the food into their daily feedings. Cats will eat anywhere from 2-5% of their weight, cats are obligate carnivores and DO NOT need veggies or fruits added to their diets.

Is it safe?

Some frequently asked questions are is raw safe?

Salmonella ?

Proper practice just the same as you would with handling your own meat there is limited chance. Your pets mouth and stomach acids are designed to break down raw meat and digest it faster then we can, that means salmonella doesn't get a chance to grow inside your pets mouth or stomach. Salmonella can be found in your pets poop's! always pick them up and dispose them. This occurs in both raw and kibble fed dogs.

Bones ?

The answer is YES!, Raw meaty bones are natures tooth brush and filled with nutrients from the marrow, meat and organ. They are 100% completely safe fed raw, ( you should never feed cooked or smocked bones ).

Balanced ?

We recommend feeding at least one white meat protein and one red meat protein, however the more the better! as well adding some fish in for some essential oil and fats is always welcomed!. If your pet has allergies and can only be fed one protein it is highly recommended to use a complete supplement.

Veggies?

the best way to add veggies into your dogs diet is to ferment them or steam and pure'e them! giving them raw veggies are un-digestible to dogs. these are not needed but an option your welcome to research! cats DO NOT need veggies as they are obligate carnivores. !!

( Our cat food line has the necessary taurine and minerals added already to complete your cats dietary needs )

( Adding some Omega 3 , eggs , or fiber is always welcomed in your canine diet. )
